INSTITUT FOR APPLIED PEACE EDUCATION
AND PERFORMANCE RESEARCH

Today, we stand at a crossroads. For too long, we have accepted war and violence as inevitable elements of human existence. For too long, peace has been presumed to be a silent byproduct, a calm harbor existing only in the absence of war. Yet, this mindset is a misconception, leading us into a cycle of endlessness.

Peace is not merely the absence of war. It is a conscious, potent presence – a state requiring dynamism, commitment, and resolve. It must be shaped, nurtured, and sustained. Peace is an art to be learned, a science to be explored, and a discipline to be mastered.

In a world where billions of voices reject war and cry out for peace, it is time to honor this conviction. It is time to create structures not just responsive to conflicts but ones that lay the groundwork for peace. Every nation arms for war, investing in training and infrastructures of violence. Every nation has a ministry primarily concerned with war preparations. But why are we so negligent when it comes to investing in peace education and non-violent conflict resolution?

We call for the establishment of official state institutions dedicated to peace education. We demand the creation of Ministries for Peace Education, promoting practices of non-violence and teaching ways of active peace.

In times of crisis, people long for role models offering security, quality of life, and contentment. Let us, therefore, establish peace education as our game changer – not one rooted in fear, but based on the optimistic application of active, peace-building measures. It is time not just to reflexively stand AGAINST something, but to collectively and resolutely stand FOR what is right. For a peaceful coexistence, not as the exception but the norm. For a world where peace becomes the strongest force we know through education, practice, and application.

The Institute for Applied Peace Education and Performance Research (IAFP) engages in and promotes active peace education for everyday life, as well as its beneficial application in examination situations and performances. The Institute researches, defines, quantifies, and disseminates peace per se in everyday processes such as language, education, leisure activities, society, politics, existential questions, and especially in examination contexts.

From knowledge acquisition to knowledge application

From mere rule-following to relationship-building

From condemnation to responsibility

From retribution to forgiveness

From opposing the wrong to supporting the right

Moreover, the rapid development in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on peace processes and examinations is given special importance.

The benefits for everyday life include, besides the evolution towards a peaceful interaction among people in general, a new modus operandi for studies, school, and training. This involves passing examinations without excessive effort, mastering exams without fear and stress but with full conviction, consistently delivering one's best performance when it matters, and learning to utilize AI like a musician uses their instrument.

In addition to fundamental research, the IAFP offers courses, seminars, training programs, professional training, support for schools, universities, colleges, and workplaces, as well as negotiation in extreme situations, mediation, de-escalation, and crisis intervention.

Central to its mission are several urgent paradigm shifts:

"Applied peace education is the order of the day because it makes peace (at home and in the world) an achievable goal for everyone. Every individual can actively contribute and make a decisive difference – both individually and collectively. To this end, we have defined, analyzed, quantified, and transformed the crucial processes underlying every peaceful action into an applicable form.

In practice, the transition from involuntary reaction to creative action takes place.
Only those who know their strengths, how to use them, and understand how to finally showcase their skills, will meet exams and challenges without fear, focused and confident! In schools, universities, the workplace, politics - on all the different stages of life.

If there is one thing I have been able to prove without a doubt during the last 35 years, it is this fact: The path to truly peaceful, integrative, non-violent, optimistic, and content people is only through conflicts, exams, and performances mastered without fear and with ease!"
